Interpreting the merit list requires attention to tie-breaking rules: when two candidates secure identical aggregates (say, 187.5 marks each), preference is accorded first to the higher typing-net-speed, then to the elder candidate by date of birth, and finally — if parity persists — to alphabetical order of the surname, as codified in Annexure III.
